Description:
Mathematical methods - including elementary calculus and Fourier Analysis. Frequency response of an imaging system, which includes amongst others, the ideas of modulation transfer function of radiographic components. Image noise and its treatment by the Weiner spectrum.

Assessment could include some or all of the following: assignments, projects, tests and examinations. Compulsory seminars,
teleconferences, practical exercises, etc. may contribute to the final mark.

Prerequisites: Physics 105, Radiation Physics 104, Radiologic Physics 260, Radiological Physics 301 and 302 or equivalent units.

Postgraduate Diploma in Medical Imaging.
